Patrick Byrne

Dr. Patrick Byrne is a patriot who embodies the American Dream. He is the Founder and retired CEO of Overstock.com. His 20 years as CEO and eCommerce pioneer were ones of toil, sweat, David versus Goliath matches, and innovative breakthroughs that became part of the fabric of eCommerce. In 2010, Glassdoor named Overstock in its, “Best 50 Firms to Work in USA (#9)” and Byrne himself “CEO with #1 Employee Approval in USA”. In 2011, Ernst & Young named Dr. Byrne the “National Entrepreneur of the Year.” In 2014, Wired Magazine called Byrne, “Messiah of Bitcoin”. In 2015, Forbes' included Overstock in its list of “100 Most Trustworthy Firms in USA”. And in 2022, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security named Byrne, “Domestic Extremist Threat #1”.

Prior to building $2 billion enterprise, Byrne earned a BA in Philosophy & Chinese Studies from Dartmouth, a Master’s from Cambridge as a Marshall Scholar (focusing on ethics), and a PhD in philosophy from Stanford (focusing on mathematical logic, economics and political theory). In 2006, Milton Friedman named Byrne to succeed him as Chairman of the Milton Friedman Foundation for 10 years.

In 2004, Byrne and the oligarchy got crosswise, and they have been at odds ever since. Byrne believes the oligarchy has two wings, Wall Street’s settlement system and the Deep State, and that he has them surrounded.
